First Certificate o con su título correcto, Cambridge First Certificate, es un título que acredita el poder comunicarte, escribir, entender y leer en inglés. Es equivalente al certificado B2, pero más reconocido en todo el mundo. Hoy en día es importante a nivel laboral y formación educativa. El examen contiene cuatro partes, lectura y uso de inglés, escribir, escuchar y hablar. Con una duración de tres horas y media aproximadamente, pero repartido en 4 examenes.
El día anterior del examen intenta relajarte y descansar. No vale la pena seguir estudiando, has estado preparándote durante años, no vas aprender más estudiando horas antes.
Como profesor durante muchos años os facilito estos consejos que os ayudaran a conseguir el tan deseado título.
- Practicar en casa controlando el tiempo para cada parte del examen sin pasarse, ya que el día del examen tendrás problemas con los nervios y te puede jugar una mala pasada.
- Antes de empezar el “writing”, haz un esquema con los conceptos claves y no hagas borrador. No hay tiempo suficiente.
- Tanto en el speaking como en el writing, exprésate de manera directa y clara.
- Lee diferentes textos como libros, revistas y artículos de periódicos para fomentar la buena comprensión.
- Mira series o películas en inglés, aunque si fuera necesario, con subtítulos en inglés.
- Practica con tu pareja de speaking (dura 14 minutos) los días previos para conseguir una mejor compenetración.
- No dejes ninguna pregunta sin responder, si te equivocas no resta y a lo mejor la suerte te acompaña y aciertas.

Exam format
B2 Cambridge First Certificate is a test of all areas of language ability.
The exam is made up of four papers developed to test your English language skills. You can see exactly what’s in each paper below.
The Speaking test is taken face to face, with two candidates and two examiners. This creates a more realistic and reliable measure of your ability to use English to communicate.
